Office of Naval Research Offers Stipend as Part of Naval Horizons

The Office of Naval Research has launched a video education series designed to introduce STEM students to science and technology topics impacting the US Navy and Marine Corps today. The series, Naval Horizons, showcases scientists in specialized fields who are working to address current challenges facing the Department of Navy in an effort to interest students in pursuing a career in STEM.

As part of the program launch, ONR is offering a $200 stipend to the first 3,000 students who watch the video series and share their ideas on “reimagining Naval power.” Video topics include autonomous ships, cyber security, and materials science and additive manufacturing.

For more information about the program and how to participate, visit the Naval Horizons website.
